Peacefully at the John M. Parrott Centre in Napanee on Wednesday, August 14, 2024, in her 86th year. Predeceased by her beloved husband Carl Hurley of 66 years on March 16, 2024. Dear and loving mother of Mike Hurley (Elizabeth) of Roblin, Carla Ryan (William) of Stirling and Paula Hopkins (Rob) of Amherstview. Cherished grandmother of Sarah, Doug, Ashlee and Paul, and great grandmother of Clara, Easton and Oaklynn. Predeceased by her parents Samuel and Iva (née Snider), her brother Earl Hagerman (Barbara), and sister Carol Hagerman. Remembered by several nieces and nephews and their families.

Cremation has taken place. A Graveside Service for Irene and Carl will be held at Bath United Church Cemetery on Friday, September 6, 2024 at 1 pm. A Celebration of Life will follow at Payne Funeral Home, 178 Main St., Odessa from 2 – 4pm. For those desiring, memorial donations to the John M. Parrott Centre or the Alzheimer Society would be appreciated by the family.
