Don passed away peacefully at the Kingston Health Sciences Centre on Wednesday, June 19, 2024 following a lengthy illness, he was 78. Loving husband of Carole (née Peacock) for 58 years. Dear father of Lorie Hogan (Donald), Alex Johnson and Barbara Johnson. Cherished grandfather of Eva Hogan, Em Johnson, Madison Johnson and the late Mitchell Johnson. Survived by his brother Bryan Johnson (late Anna) and sister-in-law Patricia Peacock (Cliff Wimbush). Predeceased by his parents Gordon and Eva (née Spray) and brother-in-law John Peacock (Gay). Fondly remembered by his nephews.
A Memorial Service will be held at Emmanuel United Church, 63 Factory St., Odessa on Monday, June 24, 2024 at 3 pm. A reception will follow. Interment will be held at Capital Gardens in Ottawa at a later date. Because of Don’s love of Christmas and dressing up like Santa, memorial donations to the Bath Lions Club for their Christmas campaign would be appreciated by the family.
