Following a lengthy illness, Eric passed away at the Lennox and Addington County General Hospital on Saturday, February 7, 2026 with his loving family by his side. Beloved husband of Karen (nèe Hodgson) for 48 years and caring father of Stacey (Brent) and Stephanie. Cherished Grampa of Sophia, Isabella and Roberto Waymer, Lucas and Thomas Dean, and proud Poppy of Braelynn Waymer. Lovingly remembered by his sister Anne McFarlane (Gordon) and by several brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law and nieces and nephews. His loyal feline companion Beau will also miss him greatly.
A private family gathering will be held at Payne Funeral Home in Odessa with Interment following at Morven Cemetery. For those desiring, memorial donations to the Salvation Army or Diabetes Canada would be appreciated by the family.
