Obituary of Stephen Charles Chappelle

Passed away peacefully at Kingston General Hospital on Sunday, April 20^th 2025, following a brief illness, in his 66^th year.

Beloved husband of Kathy for 43 years. Proud father of Stephanie Bloch and Samantha Chappelle (Jeremy), and treasured Grumpa to Dekker and Keelan, as well as his much-loved grand-fur babies. Stephen will be deeply missed by his parents, Charles and Carol Chappelle, and by his siblings Andrea Leibrock (Al), Catheryne Genest (Roch), Caroline McEwen (Bob), and the late Norman Chappelle (Shelley). He will also be fondly remembered by his sister-in-law Maureen Fisher (Gary), and by his many nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.

Stephen was the proud owner of Kingston Home Heating and a life member of The Kinsmen Club of Kingston and The Frontenac Rifle and Pistol Club. His passions included hunting, firearms, and exploring back roads on his ATV — a true outdoorsman at heart.

Cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Stephen’s Life will be held on Saturday, August 9, 2025 from 1pm to 4 pm., at RCAF 416 Wing, 200 Hampton Gray Gate in Kingston. Friends and family are invited to share memories and condolences at www.payne funeralhome.com
