Obituary of Peter Marx

With tremendous sadness, Peter’s family announce his sudden passing at home on Thursday, April 10, 2025, in his 74^th year. Loving husband and best friend of Wendy Brumm for 54 years. Loving father of Erin Marx-Guerin (Marquis) and Simon Marx (Kerri), proud Grandpa (Bop) of Karl, Martin, Elaine, Henry and Hailey. Fondly remembered by his brother Hans (Karen), his niece Jessica and nephew Robin, and their families. Predeceased by his parents Alois and Gertrud Marx, sister-in-law Katherine Black.

Peter had a lifelong passion for football. Some may remember Peter as “Coach Marx”. Over 25 years Peter was involved in many football programs in Kingston. Impacting his players by imparting leadership and sportsmanship.

Always wanting to help and always thinking of others, Peter has generously donated his body to Queen’s University. For those desiring, memorial donations can be made payable to La Salle Secondary School Attn: Reuben Brunet in support of Football, Kingston Grenadiers, and/or Kingston Humane Society.
