Obituary of Tom Holsgrove

Born is Westbrook, Ontario on April 15, 1945, passed away on Wednesday, April 19, 2023 at the John M. Parrott Centre in Napanee. Survived by his loving wife Marg (nee Ellsworth) of 53 years, his brother-in-law David Ellsworth and his wife Penny, his brother-in-law Dan Ellsworth, and several nieces and nephews and their families. Predeceased by his parents Walter J. and Mildred Holsgrove, his brother Walter (Isabel of Westbrook) and by his sisters Joan Hogeboom (late Bud) and Carol Tyers (late Ken).

 

Tom spent the first part of his adult years working in the family business, W.J. Holsgrove & Sons Limited Landscaping and Excavating. He then worked for R.H. Richardson Excavating as a heavy equipment operator. For the last 20 years he worked at Kimco Steel Limited as a crane operator. He enjoyed fishing and hunting, he enjoyed being outdoors, watching and listening to the birds and wildlife. For many years he enjoyed woodcarving, especially birds and animals. A sincere thank you to the John M. Parrott Centre for the compassionate care Tom received while residing there since August of 2021.
