Obituary of Sylvia Lovelock (Raycraft)

We are deeply saddened to announce the peaceful passing of Sylvia Lovelock at Extendicare in Kingston on Friday, June 21, 2024, in her 86th year. She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Robert A. Lovelock, and her daughter, Kim Lovelock-Fox.

Sylvia was a loving and cherished mother to Edward Lovelock (Elaine Munroe), Tracy Gray (Calvin), and Todd Lovelock (Dianne Lang), as well as a devoted aunt to Lance Lovelock (Kathleen Sivell). She will be sadly missed by her grandchildren, Darren, Geoff (Patrizia), Krystal (Chace), Ashley (Chris), Jackie (Emma), Brittany (Chris), Adrianne (Geordan), Madeleine, Erin, and Mitchel. Sylvia also adored her eight great-grandchildren.

She was predeceased by her parents, William and Madeleine Raycraft, her brother, William Raycraft (Rowena), and her sister, Hazel O’Connor (Howard). Sylvia will be fondly remembered by many nieces, nephews, and their families.

A Celebration of Sylvia’s Life will be held at the Royal Canadian Legion – Branch 560 (734 Montreal St., Kingston) on Saturday, October 26, 2024, from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Federated Women’s Institutes of Canada or Royal Canadian Legion Branch 560 – two organizations very dear to Sylvia’s heart. 

Arrangements are entrusted to Payne Funeral Home in Odessa. Please share your memories and condolences with the family.

When i was a kid, i was friend's with todd and would hang out at the house. Mrs. lovelock as i would call her, was the best in making you feel welcome. That's something i still remember to this day. Sorry for your loss, todd.
