I moved to Kingston in the 80s for a job transfer. I met Steve while sitting in a pub having a beer. We quickly started a conversation, he mentioned he was sharing his house to rent. We hit it off right away and I quickly agreed to move in. We remained friends throughout the years. Steve was funny, kind, generous and so easy to get along with. I’m gonna miss our conversations and your stories about the Philippines. Thanks for your friendship Love ya Pal Cam Collier

30 yrs ago, I worked at the Collins Bay Legion. Steve and his postie buddies would come in on Friday's to play pool. He had such a great sense of humor, always had me in stitches. It was always my best shift and he was definitely one of my favorite people to see. Steve will definitely be missed by everyone that had the pleasure of meeting him.

Steve was a wonderful guy, he played baseball with my ex-husband and so many other friends. When he lived in Toronto with Louise, I used to go down there all the time and have so much fun with the both of them would say when Louise and I would sing oh my God, get me earplugs. He was joking. Of course this is sad news to hear he passed a lot of people tried to find him now we know heaven will accept you, Steve Cooper, you were a blessed man rest in peace

I only knew Coop for a short time. He had a fabulous sense of humour and appreciated every little thing. My thoughts are with Brad (Kathy) and Greg at this time. Your friendship meant the world to Steve.
