Bob passed away peacefully at the John M. Parrott Centre in Napanee on Wednesday, April 12, 2023 with his loving wife and best friend Isabel (nee Parks) at his side. Son of the late Arnold and Catherine Caird. Predeceased by his beloved infant daughter Sheila Caird, Olive and Oak Parks (Isabel’s grandparents who Bob thought the world of), and his siblings Wilfred, Geraldine, Norman and Gary. Fondly remembered by many extended family members and dear friends.

 

A Celebration of Life will be held in the Palace at the Odessa Fairgrounds, on Sunday, April 30, 2023 from 1 -4 pm. Interment Dempsey Cemetery. For those desiring, memorial donations to the Odessa Lions Club would be appreciated in his memory.

Q: How did you meet Robert? A: I met Bob when Isabel joined the Odessa and District Lions Club. Often Bob and I would meet for ice cream first or third Thursday of the month. His smile, his humour and his love for his wife were ever present. One time I told him I had no car, just my motorcycle. He was saddened by the thought of no ice cream. When I showed up with DQ sundaes he was more interested in how. I was more interested in eating before it melted. We laughed so hard tears were running down our legs. Thank you for sharing Bob with us Isabel. Danna

My sincerest Condolences to Isabel and family. I must say I was so lucky to have met Bob and have him in my life. His smile, his laugh, his love. The good time we shared at Montana's. He was my favorite and it was easy to tell I was his favorite too. Thank you Isabel for sharing these precious moments with us, I love you always. I'm sorry I can't be there today. But you and Bob are always in my Heart. I love you both so very much. I will see you soon. I hope you think of Bob and I everytime you have some soup out of your Blue Mug. Love you. Q: What will you never forget about Robert? A: I don’t even k ow where to start, so many wonderful, fun memories. The jokes, the “hydro” guy lol. We had some great memories together, you always made me laugh, you always had a smile on your face, you will be missed Bob I have so many pics but these are my two favs xo
