Obituary of Jason Kerr

Please share a memory of Jason to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

It is with tremendous sadness that the family of Jason Kent Kerr announce his sudden passing at home on Thursday, June 13, 2024, at the age of 51. Jason will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by his loving companion Katia Lebrun, his children Luke (Brooke), Brandon (Vanessa) and Gemma, his parents Garry and Sharon Kerr, his sister Jana Miller (Chris), nephew Dylan and niece Shae. Also missed by Denis and Therese Lebrun, many aunts and uncles, cousins and friends.

Jason had a heart of gold. He always put everyone else before himself. He loved making people happy by cooking an awesome meal or fixing practically anything. We will never forget his infectious smile.

The family will receive friends and family to Celebrate his Life at Payne Funeral Home, 178 Main St., Odessa on Saturday, June 22, 2024 from 1-4 pm. For those desiring, memorial donations to a favourite charity of your choice would be appreciated in his memory.

Please share your memories and condolences to the family.

Jay you always gave the best hugs and you were such a great guy. Neighbour's for almost 19 years. From when the boys were young, and you teaching them how to work on their toys. (Even after they left home they would come and work in your garage). To teaching Gemma how to work the tractor. Jason and Katia, he two sweetest people in the world found each other and as you drove by their house you would feel the love and you could see their smiles, from the road. You will be missed Jason. Rest in Peace

I’m so sorry for your devastating loss of Jason . He was a wonderful sweet person. He helped my family out a few times and was very generous with his time and knowledge. He called me Sweetie, Dear , and other names that were just sweet to hear because you knew his words were genuine. He befriended my nervous dogs with treats when he came to work in our home. I can’t imagine your sorrow. Sincerely, Kari Dillman, Peter and Jake Vanderburgt.

My deepest condolences to the Kerr family. I haven't seen Jason since high school but there was a period of time when I was maybe 13 or so when we were friends and would hang out while our parents hung out. I have nice memories of those days. I am very sad to read this news and my heart goes out to his entire family.

Jason was one of the best! The nicest guy! He would give you the shirt off his back. There are not enough people in this world like him. Anyone who was lucky enough to have had the privilege to have time with him would certainly agree. I just can’t say enough about this man that I admired for so many years. He will truly be missed by so many. We were surely blessed to have him. I will see him again Lord willing, as I know he is with Him now. Love you brother.
