Obituary of James Lewis

James Edward Lewis, formerly of Odessa, passed away peacefully at the Kingston Health Sciences Centre with his loving family at his side on Sunday, February 26, 2023, in his 80th year.  Loving husband of Patricia (nee Johnson) for 58 years and cherished father of Tammy Peck (Greg) and Trevor Lewis. Sadly missed by his grandsons Gordon Peck (Natalie) and Jamie Peck (Kirsten) and great grandchildren Isabella and Finnegan. Survived by his sisters Sheridan Abrams, Valerie Barnhartd, Barbara Duscharme, Judy Folz and Linda Thompson and brothers Ed, Bob, Bruce and Ron Duscharme. Predeceased by his mother Erie Abrams (nee Martin, formerly Lewis and Duscharme), his father James Lewis, his stepfathers Vere Duscharme and Lavern Abrams, his sister Joan Sullivan and brother Lloyd Duscharme. Fondly remembered by many nieces and nephews, extended family and friends.

 

The family will receive friends at the Payne Funeral Home, 178 Main St., Odessa, Ontario K0H 2H0 (613-386-7373) on Saturday, March 4, 2023 from 1 – 2 pm. A Memorial Service will follow at 2 pm. Spring Inurnment at Wilton Cemetery.

 

Special thanks to all of the Doctors, Nurses and staff on Connell 10 at KHSC for the compassionate care they provided. For those desiring, memorial donations to the Alzheimer Society would be appreciated by the family.

Jim was the first person I ever camped with when we were kids . We camped in a tent in his back yard . We almost froze to death . We survived and went on to camp together in Family Campers
