Obituary of David Whitmore

It is with broken hearts that we announce the passing of David John Whitmore on June 20, 2025. David was born December 10, 1984 in Kingston. His greatest joy was his son Travis. David loved playing hockey and cheering on Travis at his games. He also loved derby cars, 4 wheeling and of course being on the sail boat.

He will be greatly missed by his son Travis, partner Amanda Maloney, parents Denise (Doug) of Belleville and Ronald Whitmore of Kingston, his brother Douglas, sister-in-law Melissa, niece Katrina and nephew Dominic of B.C. He is survived by his grandmother, Marjorie Turcotte of Kingston, and will be greatly missed by his many aunts, uncles, cousins as well as many friends and hockey buddies. David is predeceased by his grandfather Wilfrid Turcotte, and grandparents Charles and Antoinette Whitmore.

Cremation has been taken care through Payne Funeral Home in Odessa. A Celebration of Life will be held on August 23, 2025 from 1-4 pm., at 1660 Sharpe Rd., Odessa. (2 minutes off the 401 at Camden East and 401 – exit 593). Sharpe Road runs right off the east bound ramp. The family hopes that you will come and celebrate a loving Father, Son, Brother Grandson, Nephew, Cousin and Partner that David was, the friend he was, the other player from your team, the Dad that didn’t just cheer on his Son but yours as well, the co-worker and the guy that will be missed by so many people.
