
Obituary of Dave Teal
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of David (Dave) Clyde Teal at the age of 65 on Monday, August 4th, 2025 at Kingston General Hospital surrounded by loved ones. Dave grew up in Yarker, Ontario and lived many of his recent years in Odessa. Dave demonstrated tremendous love and devotion for his late partner and best friend Vicky Lobb.
Dave was known for his love for building model cars and taking exceptional care of his beloved truck. Dave was a son to the late Etta and late Percy Teal, and step-son to the late Bruce Mallett. Deeply missed by his siblings Tom (Lisa) Teal, Len (Laurie Bouchard Teal) Teal, Cindy (Bob) Rider, Pansy (late Robert) Lang, and Ron Aldrich. Also lovingly remembered by several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his sister Patricia Teal and brother Terry Teal. Special thank-you to sister-in-law Brenda Taylor and brother-in-law Reg Taylor for their dedication and continued support and love for Dave.
We would like to thank the staff at Limestone Ridge Long-Term Care (Nurses and PSWs) and Kingston General Hospital ER staff for providing exceptional care and compassion for Dave and his family to ensure his comfort. We are grateful for the support in the community from the home care Nurses and PSWs and the Eastern Ontario Community Paramedic Program.
The family will receive friends and relatives at Payne Funeral Home (178 Main St. Odessa) on Monday, August 11th, 2025 from 10:30 am – 12:00 pm., all are welcome. We will then proceed to Parham Cemetery (1034 Long Lake Road, Parham, ON) for a private burial for family and close friends at 1:00 pm. Finally, we will gather at the home of Tom and Lisa Teal (4163 Highway 38, Harrowsmith, ON) for a light lunch and celebration of life. For those who desire and in lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to Almost Home Kingston (Kimmy Fund) in memory of Dave.
