Obituary of Benny Hugo Eriksen
It is with deep sadness that we announce the unexpected passing of Benny Hugo Eriksen on February 13th, 2023. Benny was born on July 28th, 1946, in Denmark, to his parents Walter and Minna Eriksen.
Benny was a Vietnam veteran of the US Military and served with honor. After leaving the military, Benny worked for a short time with the OPP in Winchester Ontario.
Benny was married to his loving wife Ruby Cairns until she passed away in 2019. They had a beautiful life together, and Benny cherished their time spent together. Benny’s German Shepherd, Thor, won first place at the 2022 Canadian Seiger, which brought him much joy.
Benny will be dearly missed. In lieu of flowers, donations to Diabetes Canada would be appreciated. A celebration of Benny’s life will be held at a later date.
