Marge. You were one of the best. You were always ready for a chat with me about CSC and P4W. You always encouraged me from my days as kid running around the farm to my days as an adult “workin for the Feds”. I am so glad we got a chance to chat one last time in January. You didn’t take any gruff from anybody and you told cancer to stick it where the sun don’t shine. I always had such high regard and respect for you. I never thought I could give you more until now. You will be missed by many, you will be missed by me- that little boy you met so long ago ago and the man he became. If you get a chance, sprinkle a little Angel dust on the Blue Jays starting rotation. <3 🙂 😉

When I was a little girl and stayed on Aunt Shirley's good side I would get to go to town and visit her best friend Marge. After receiving a stick of gum I politely asked where her wood box was...they both laughed. Years later in 1968, Marge saved the 1st Harrowsmith Girl Guide Company. The captain was stepping down and no one came forward except Marge. She was promptly told that because she had no experience she would not be suitable, unless she could find a former girl guide to help her. She made one phone call to me and we became Captain and Lieutenant all through my high school years. We had the girls hiking in the woods at the farm and camping at Carruthers Point ,making a name for ourselves. I am sure up in heaven Marge and Aunt Shirley are having a cold beer and a glass of wine and cheering on the Blue Jays together again.

What do egg salad sandwiches and date squares have in common? They are 2 of aunt Marge's favourite foods. When we went to Elaine's for lunch, you knew they would be a part of the menu. Then before leaving for home, Elaine would make sure she had a couple of date squares for the road! We have some great memories; a bus trip to see a Jay's game, phone calls, email quips, a couple of road trips and of course, lunches at Elaine's. Kim, Shelley, Dwayne and families, your mom/grandma touched many lives and was loved by so many people, including us. Keep her memory close to your heart and she will always be with you. Our love and condolences to you. Karl Reid, Elaine Prosser and family

My Aunt Marj...We first reconnected on New Year's Eve, 2006. Our first year in Florida. We were in one park, she was in another, but she and Charlie came over for the festivities. This beautifully dressed woman walked up to me, with determination, looked me straight in the eye and asked, "Are you Pam?" I replied, "oh my word, Aunt Marj?" She then said, "I knew it, I just had to ask!" She thought I looked like an Abrams. Yes, I do. We had a great old catch up and got together with them at their place. Gerry and Charlie bonded over riding motorcyles and flying airplanes. As the years went by, we always got together once a month and went out for dinner somewhere. We filled each other in on the happenings in our families. Aunt Marj was a little whirlwind of activity. Always busy, always compassionate, genuinely interested in our lives. So to Kim and Shelly, it was great to finally meet you last night, although I knew you when you were just little tots. Dwayne, it was great to see you again, and the grandchildren, much love and heartfelt condolences. I will miss my Aunt Marj... Pam (Abrams) Bauder

Marge was a great friend. Met in Florida about 20 years ago now. Worked in the clubhouse, left exhausted, but very happy, had great times in Sebring. Loved dancing, good laughs. Since we all sold out, just telephone conversation and emails. Loved her very much. Missing her friendship now - a lot. She always kept me informed to how the Blue Jays are doing. Always a very positive person. Missing her.

Auntie Marge, this picture is how I will always remember you and mom together. Mom/Marion now has her longest friend back with her. Our last visit in early May turned out to be more special then I already thought, was the last time we were together. We enjoyed a drive to get cheap gas for me and LCBO in Napanee to get our evening preferred beverage before returning to your place to chat. I will miss you and think of you often ... miss the numerous funny emails too! Love you.
