Maxine passed away peacefully at Trillium Care Community on Tuesday, December 5, 2023, in her 93rd year. Loving wife of the late Billie Lemmon. Dear mother of Elaine (Paul) and Percy (Wendy) and sadly missed by her grandchildren Tim, Anna-Leigh (Mathieu) and Preston (Biz), and great grandchildren Elena and Alex. Predeceased by her parents Clayton and Margaret, her grandson Dan, great grandson Parker, and siblings Vivian, Betty, Victor, Bob, Larry, Alfred, Ralph, Hazel, Charlie, Clayton and Bill. Survived by her sisters Sheila, Shirley and Polly, and brothers Paul and Don. Fondly remembered by many nieces and nephews and their families.

 

Funeral Service will be held at Payne Funeral Home in Odessa on Friday, December 8, 2023 at 11 am. Interment St. Luke’s Cemetery, Camden East. For those desiring, memorial donations to the Alzheimer Society of KFL&A would be appreciated by the family.

 

The family would like to especially thank Cathy for the compassionate care she provided to Maxine, also heartfelt thanks to the staff at Trillium Care Community for the excellent care they provided.

I used to live at Trillium and came to adore Maxine. I'd walk the halls with her at night when she was 'sundowning', give her some evening snacks, and play music for her. She loved to look at pictures of one nurse's huge cat and delighted in telling me stories about swimming in a farm pond with a grandson. She was interested in everything and everyone. May she rest in peace together with my precious husband.
