Masood-Ul-Haque Naim Rahim  (August 6, 1957 – January 18, 2024)

 

Unexpectedly at the Kingston Health Sciences Centre (KGH) with his family by his side on Thursday, January 18, 2024. Loving husband and best friend of June Lorraine (née Hornbeek). Cherished father of Jonathan, Christopher (Nadine) and Benjamin (Sarah). Dear grandfather of Andre, Nathan and Charles. Dear brother-in-law of David (Regina), Roger, Glenda (Geoffrey), Wesley, Joseph (Claudia), Shaida, Riffath and Veeta. Predeceased by his parents Dr. M. A. Rahim and Dr. Parveen Rahim, his brothers Salim, Azim and Michael, and sister Nasreen. Masood will be missed by his numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and other family and friends. Masood worked for CSC for 27 years and was co-owner/operator of Rahim’s Cuisine for 20 years.

 

The family will receive friends at Odessa Free Methodist Church (78 Main St., Odessa) on Tuesday, January 23rd from 5 – 8 pm., and on Wednesday, January 24th from 10 – 11 am. Funeral Service will begin at 11 am. Cremation will follow. Memorial donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation in memory of Masood.

Dear Mr. Masood Raheem was our great family friend. He, especially was very affectionate to our kids treating them like his own kids. Especially, with our eldest son Ali, an exemplary healthy young man, who departed to his final abode two years before at the age of 38 due to cardiac arrest. Ali’s tragic and sudden demise made Masood Raheem extremely sad and he very passionately shared our grief. He brought plenty of food himself to our house for our huge number of guests coming from other cities to say their condolences on Ali’s demise. Ali , who always listened and respected his uncle Masood’s advices and suggestions left his wife and two kids with us. May God bless Masood Raheem family with strength to bear upon such a big loss and Great Masood Raheem with eternal peace and comfort in heaven that has been created for such a great, kind, affectionate, pious and magnificent person like our dear Masood Raheem,,,Ameen !
