Dearest Rose, Tay, Joe & Jill, Luke, Joce, Hailey, Johnny & Colins, There are no words to truly express my deepest heartfelt sympathy to all of you. Everyone of you did Papa proud on his funeral day! And there were no darn quarter sandwiches (only halves) at his luncheon. Rose made sure there was cold meat subs (one of Pat’s favourites) and she also made all the baked goods herself, nobody could cook like his Rosy. Memory for me: Pat phoned and asked me on different occasions to take him to his prostestic appointment in Kingston. The first time I went I told him that I would wait in the waiting room and he said, “No, you can come in.” He introduced me to his Certified Prosthetist (Martin Robertson), and it was quite an eye opener for me of what he’d accomplished and what more had to be done. I’ve never seen anyone with a pain tolerance like Pat. Afterwords he insisted on taking me to brunch at Eggstatic. I’d never heard of the place but it was delicious and we always got the same breakfast. We had a lot of great visits. He mentioned all of his kids and grandchildren over the course of this time. Pat’s family was his pride and joy. I never was left in doubt on how he felt about different things. He was one to call a spade, a spade . Lol May you rest in peace Pat, no more suffering. Thank God! Love Always, Trina
